For summer training, you can send an application from 1st Feb – 15th April and winter training, the dates for application is 1st to 31st October. MCA applicants can apply for internships during 1st October to 30th November. It is important that your application reaches the ONGC academy before the last date.
Applications are evaluated and processed. The selection depends on the applicant resume as well as the availability of the mentors. Preference is given to referral candidates.
What to Expect
If you are selected as an intern with ONGC, you will be assigned a specific mentor. Every intern gets a mentor who trains and guides him through the internship process. Before you start actually working, you will have to spend the first couple of days understanding the premises, filling forms, getting the ID cards and provisional passes.
Once you settle down in the office, your mentor will assign you a project to work on followed by literature review and research. After the end of internship tenure, every intern have to submit a project report.
