It is not surprising for companies across different verticals to try and bag the best (and raw) talent by offering lucrative internship offers. Some companies promise pre-placement offers, while some try to lure in the interns by offering them amazing perks. But which companies to interns fancy the most? Switch Idea’s Top Highest Paying Internships report identifies companies with the highest median monthly pay for internships as reported by India-based interns over the past year (01/06/16 – 02/06/17). In cases where companies have the same median monthly stipend, the company with the greater number of intern reviews receives higher rank.

1. American Express


The company is best known for its credit card, charge card, and traveler's cheque businesses. In 2016, credit cards using the American Express network accounted for 22.9% of the total dollar volume of credit card transactions in the US.
