Sales & Marketing Internships
As a sales intern you will work closely with customers, acting as an all-round business consultant to identify and use innovative business strategies to increase the customer-base. Typically, you'll start out as a trainee sales executive or representative, selling products and services in a particular geographical area or business sector. You'll also be responsible for developing existing customer relationships and finding new customers. During the internship tenure, you’d be working under the supervision of your team leader, and your specific duties are likely to include maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers, visiting potential customers for new business, making accurate, rapid cost calculations, etc. The skills involve ability and desire to sell, excellent communication skills, strong commercial awareness, a confident and determined approach, resilience and the ability to cope with rejection etc.
Marketing internships help you acquire knowledge of major methodological approaches for both qualitative and quantitative market research. Marketing interns thrive as self-starters who can handle multiple tasks and think outside the box. As a marketing intern, you’ll also learn how to create plans of action to match perceptions of the market.
